World-renowned 4-time Olympic medalist and successful African American entrepreneur, Dominique Dawes, will headline the Tabor 100 Captains of Industry Gala on September 30.

Dawes, who founded Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Academy, has been featured nationally for her transition from world class African American Olympic athlete to entrepreneur. Dawes’ history in the elite world arena gymnastics world and how it served as the catalyst to lead her to create her gymnastics academies, is a true testament to perseverance and discipline in the midst of very trying times for her personally and professionally.

“We look forward to hearing from Ms. Dawes about her journey to entrepreneurship, the challenges she’s faced and how her personal history has transformed her into a successful business owner,” said Ollie Garrett, Tabor 100 CEO.

The Tabor 100 Gala will take place September 30 from 5-9 p.m. at the Summit Seattle Convention Center. The organization will also honor eight members of the local community who have distinguished themselves in “giving back” to the community. In addition, Tabor 100 will provide scholarships to deserving minority youth.
