The City actively supports utilization of WMBE (women- and minority-owned businesses) on City contracts as both primes and subcontractors, and each City department establishes plans and annual voluntary goals for WMBE inclusion in consulting and purchasing contracts.

Registering in the City’s Online Business Directory (OBD)

The City’s OBD is used by City staff and contractors who are seeking companies for work. When registering in OBD, you can indicate your business expertise and status as a women- or minority-owned business and register for the City’s Consultant Roster.

Do you want to learn more about doing business with the City? Do you want to know about how the City of Seattle works with women- and minority-owned businesses? Do you have questions about working with unions on City construction projects? Do you want to share info about your business with City of Seattle staff?

The City of Seattle office at the Tabor 100 Hub is OPEN. Purchasing and Contracting staff from the City of Seattle’s Department of Finance and Administrative Services are available to talk to you. Just drop right in, no need to make an appointment!

The City of Seattle uses openGov to post all of their open solicitations. When you are ready, sign up for a personalized, virtual “one-on-one” training session with Tabor 100 staff. We’ll guide you through creating a profile and mastering the system.
